A Day (or Two) in the Life of Scott Hanno

Oh, and the reason I wanted to write was to tell you that I survived my dental appointment and it was another perfect check up - see ya, I'm outta here and I'll see you next April!!! It's been two years now since I bought my Sonicare and haven't had anything but - and I am a firm believer in my tooth brush and would recommend it to anyone that will listen! And also don't forget about my Reach flosser - can't believe that my dental person still uses the old string floss but I tried to talk her into moving up!
No cold weather either, even with the rain it's still pretty warm out, besides all the wet and dampness it didn't cool off nearly what they said that it was going to be - and now it's suppose to be back up in the 80's by the end of the week. And I guess that was all that I had to say - I'm just happy my lapper is working again even if I only use it for like 10 minutes a few times a week! Hope your week is off to a better start than me, but who knows - maybe tomorrow will be a better day :>)~ Make it as great as it can be - remember, it's all in the attitude that we choose it to be!
Montie and I went and had lunch again at BK, I'm kind of addicted to the chicken bagget sandwich and we sit out in the parking lot on the tailgate of the truck and he runs around, then we came home and I trimmed all of my bushes out in front of my house - still can't believe that I used to trim them by hand and with my electric trimmer it takes me more time picking up all of the stuff instead of the trimming part - and figure that should be the last time I need to do that until spring arrives. Got my haircut too so I should be good to go until Thanksgiving, dang I can't believe that the holidays are right around the corner. Oh, but you can tell that they are here as my Walmart has been engulfed with loads of the holiday crap, aisles and aisle of the holiday cheer ........bah, humbug :)
Not much else going on though, I did end up hanging my hotel pictures up in my office yesterday finally as they have been sitting on the floor in here for the last couple of weeks and guess they look ok, although I suck at anything remotely related to interior design. One of them doesn't quite line up with the other but I left it - think that it needs to come down about an inch or so and might end up someday moving it. I've also got a dentist appointment this morning for my bi-annual cleaning and I'll see how I do, hoping that is all that it's going to take but guess that we will see. I think that I need to have those stupid x-rays taken too as I remember them saying that the last time - bummer but I'm still hoping for another perfect check up.
I guess that's about it - time to get started on another week and see where it takes us. I'm still not liking this time change thing but thought that it would be too confusing to try and live in my own zone - and now it's light out at like 5:30am but is dark by 5pm, doesn't make much sense to me but oh well. And I hope that you have a wonderful beginning to another new week and I'll talk with you when I talk to you - so take care till then :) Happy Monday everyone!

I was going to mention this last night but couldn't get my wireless net to work but I was watching the news a couple of nights ago and they had a story about this cute little 13 year old cocker spaniel and they showed him locked up in doggie prison :( I'm not sure where it happened but I'm thinking Marianna and I guess that he was out in his front yard running free while his owner was working in the yard. Well, this blind guy and his seeing-eye dog were walking down the street and the cocker chased after the other dog who got spooked and took off running ....... dragging the poor blind guy behind him and guess that he must have wiped out. So, as punishment they locked up the poor pup and fined the owner and I could just see the ole Monto doing that if the opportunity ever arose ....... good thing I don't have any blind people walking down my street ...... well, not yet anyways!
That's about it for another day, I ordered my sneaks from nike.com on Tuesday and they were here by Thursday - wish that everyone that I ordered stuff from were half as efficient. Nothing else to report though other than it's back up in the mid 80's every day this week but they are saying that it's going to be down in the low 40's by next week ....... bring it on baby! Oh, and that reminds me that the clocks go back an hour this weekend and I really dislike having it dark by 5pm :( Oh well, maybe I should just live in my own time zone and say the heck with it - guess as long as I adjust my meeting schedules I could almost do that ........ hmmm. Well, later Gator, talk with ya ....... bummer, but nothing rhymes with gator besides tater (or waiter ....... oh - never mind!) :(

Today was pretty normal although I was itching to do something outside when I had to do stuff inside, I really need to pressure wash a few sides of the house and might have to wait until I take a week off when things slow down towards the end of the year. Not much else going on this end, I bought a new picture of some dolphins swimming for my living room to replace my hotel pictures that I had up that I plan on someday hanging in my office ....... looks pretty good hanging there too. Nothing on the tube tonight but you can always find an old Law & Order to watch, think that I watch this show at least five times a week. Oh, and I just called the Dish TV people to find out how much they charge cuz they are running this special - the price is almost as close as what I pay for cable but they can't even gtd that I'll have my local channels ....... think that I'll hold off on that for now.
I guess that's about all I have to share as there really isn't much going on right now, just hoping for another week of this wonderful weather. So I hope that you also have a wonderful new week and I'll talk with you later - take care until then. Good night for another day!

Not much else going on, one other recommendation for dental care (along with my Sonicare as I swear by the thing!) But I bought a Reach dental floss thing that also works great, if you're like me and hate sticking string in your mouth than this is for you. Just pop one out and the next one in, and that's all you have to deal with. Pretty boring life huh, if I'm thinking about that! I also got my reminder call for a cleaning in like two weeks - guess they are closed next week so they are thinking ahead ....... and they are only open four days a week in the first place. I did get a nice thank you card from them though for a girl that I referred there, that was a nice touch.
And seven meetings down this week and only four more to go. I'm holding my own so far and got mostly caught up with e-mails on Monday. Dang if time isn't flying right by and it'll be freezing around here in no time ...... will enjoy this 70's weather and then look forward to spring :) I guess that's it for this day, just wanted to make sure that my living room connection still worked and guess that it does, that's another very cool thing! Talk with you later, it's all downhill from here :o>)

And well, I guess that another weekend bites the dust and here I sit on another Monday morning drinking a little coffee at this point. Not much to report on this end either as it rained just about all weekend long, and when it wasn't raining it was looking like it was going to so it might have just have well have. Saturday I didn't do squat once again, got up and it was raining, played around the house for as long as I could and then decided that I had nothing better to do and went back to bed - if nothing else at least I got caught up on some sleep. Yesterday was more of a normal day and was cooler cuz it was majorly cloudy all day but I was able to at least get the house cleaned and the laundry done, plus the groceries are shopped for another week. And the clouds are still around for a few more days, at least it's keeping things cooler but think that I'd rather take some heat along with some sunshine. The Indian Summer Festival was this (last) weekend too, seems like it rains every year for the thing.
I also watched a couple of movies this weekend too and the one on Friday pretty much sucked but then I watched Anger Management on Saturday night and that was a pretty good flick, got a few funny parts in it but the ending was pretty unbelievable. This week should be a pretty normal one I'm thinking at least at this point, still getting caught up from my trip but that's pretty much behind me and should have the last of my in-box cleaned out by the end of today. Nothing else to report though, business is definitely slowing down at most of my hotels till the end of the year.
Oh, and I guess that one lane of the Hathaway Bridge is closed today as they tie in the new bridge to the road so I guess that should be opening up any day now, they keep saying that it is going to be "x" and then it doesn't happen, I think they should just not even mention it and just open it when it is good and ready. And now I guess that I'm just rambling about nothing - so it's time for my day to begin, and hopefully yours as well - hoping that it's going to be a wonderful one! And now I guess the time as has come and I must run, so I'll talk with you again on another day.

It was a beautiful weekend too, kind of warm and lots of sunshine, dropped Montie off at the groomer Saturday morning and then went to the post office, then had to hit up K-Mart for a new oscillating fan for my bedroom as my old one finally died and I couldn't bring it back to life - think that the motor finally gave out. But that's the stupid thing, I tried to buy one at Walmart the Sunday before but was like a week too late, as they removed all of the fans and replaced them with heaters, living in Florida I would have to say that's one of the most stupidest things I've ever heard of. But K-Mart had plenty to choose from but it's kind of out of my way but I broke down and went and picked one up. I then drove into town determined that I would spend my gift card that I got as a going away present from the Marriott, but after spending about 30 minutes in the store I could not find one thing that I really wanted and walked out empty handed - it's pretty sad when you all ready have all of the toys that they have to offer. I almost bought a new webcam but the ones that they had were no better than the one that I all ready have, so I decided to not even bother. Maybe someday I'll end up buying a new printer toner cartridge or something like that, guess that I need to spend it somehow :|
And I almost bought a Ford Mustang that was sitting out on Front Beach Road, it was a '87 red muscle car with a 5.0 liter engine with a manual 5 speed and was fairly cheap, thought that I could have a lot of fun driving it around. But when I called the guy I realized that it would be a huge money pit as he said that it was stolen by some kids and wouldn't go into first gear any more, plus the sunroof was left open and didn't know if the water stains on the seats would come out, plus they ripped out the stereo and messed up the security system which had a tendency to constantly go off ........ the more he talked the less desirable it became :) I've also always wanted a jeep, think that I'd be better off with that.
And yesterday I had a tough time getting my housecleaning done but did do most of it, still need to finish the vacuuming and then I'll be done for another week and here we are ready for it to begin. I guess that's about all of the time that I have right now so I'm going to run, have a great week and we might even see some rain - been a while since the last time it's done that around here. I hope that all is well and I'll talk to you when I talk to you, feel free to drop me a line anytime! Happy Monday to you - and ta-ta for now :)

Other than work not too much has been up on this end of the world, the weather has been beautiful and it's like 80' during the day and down in the 60's at night - perfect sleeping weather but I haven't been sleeping with the windows open or I'd catch a cold and wake up freezing my butt off. It sure does seem nice to see some cooler weather as it's been one long and hot summer - I'm kind of looking forward to a little bit cooler weather. I got home from Phoenix last Friday at like 9:30pm, and my yard was a wreck and think that I had at least three inches of pine needles all over the driveway and lawn. I raked it all Saturday morning and then mowed the whole thing - and it was HOT that day, near 95' and I sweated my butt off even though I took like 3 breaks. And AZ was hot too at like 106' but I still say that it's nothing like here, 15% humidity versus 95% makes all of the difference in the world. We also must have had one heck of a storm while I was away too as my patio furniture was blown all over the lawn, at least that was the extent of any damage :)
And it was also kewl that they flew us from ATL in a jet, in the past it's always been prop planes so that was a nice surprise, usually you have to fly through Dallas to have that luxury. I wish that it was always like that and not sure if they are upgrading things or what - but 40 minutes versus an hour was a good way to end a good trip. I'm back into the swing of things at work by now though - and realized that I can't go away unless I find someone to keep up with things.
My lawn guys came today and did my monthly thing, I've still got tons of weeds but at least things are green and they haven't killed anything yet so I'm kind of hoping that it stays alive through the winter months and comes back strong next spring. And now that it's getting cooler out I think that I'll set up my hot tub on my little patio out back and chill out in hot water for the winter - haven't used it for the last year and is out in the garage somewhere and might set that up this weekend. Montie is due for a haircut this weekend too ........ 10:30 appointment and he's there if he likes it or not! Oh, and it was the cutest thing as he stayed with one of my (ex-)girls from work while I was away, and I went and picked him up last Friday night and he was laying in bed with her daughter watching tv - he looked at me and said "who the heck are you and why are you bothering me!" At least he was happy although I'm sure that he missed me - but they have a duck pond to walk around and I'm sure that he got his exercise, at least he's not worse for the wear :)
And I guess that's it for today - gonna watch the rest of ER although so far it hasn't been one of their better ones, but maybe I'll see some improvement in the second half. I hope that you have a easy and quiet kind of Friday - and a wonderful and sunny Fall weekend. Talk to you later, take care till then Tater :)
