Hello again everyone and guess that it's been a while since I last wrote, Christmas is behind us and New Year's Eve is almost upon us. Not all that much to report though but thought that I'd say a few words and I did end up having Christmas dinner with my GM and his family. It was a very good meal and spent a few hours with them, it's kind of nice spending it with a nice family. They even bought me a gift which they didn't need to but I really appreciated all of their hospitality.

Then when I got home my niece called me and we chatted for a while, been a while since we last talked so it was good to hear from her again. And then my brother called me and I chatted with him for a while, kind of not like him to call me but he's called the last two times. I guess that his daughter has moved out of the house with her son and gotten married, moved to Seattle WA with her new husband who just got stationed there in the Navy. I think that my bro was kind of bumming about the house being so quiet, think that he missed having her and the baby around the house. I had sent her presents to his house but found out later that she didn't even live there anymore, but I guess that he was going to mail them to her sometime soon.

And Thursday and Friday at work were pretty quiet, still was catching up from the vacation the week before while getting ready for a Sales Strategy Meeting if they were to happen but neither of my hotels had the meeting but I prepped for them just the same. I also moved back over to my new pc again on Friday, think that I got most of the bugs worked out and even got Outlook working again. It would have been alot easier if we actually had the install disks for Office with the registation codes but we don't so I had to improvise a bit. It was really strange when I first went into Outlook and was looking at my inbox, and then all of my new e-mails dissappeared and moved to my personal folder, it was rather freaky actually. I also think that some of my error codes were due to having my Palm software installed prior to the e-mail program, still not quite too sure but after installing Office and Outlook and Palm time and time again I think that it's working thus far so I'm going to stick it out on my new machine. That's the other thing is that the new computer is an IBM netvista and came with a new keyboard but all of the keys are in a different place - who do they think they are changing a keyboard that's been around for years :?) Not too used to that either, but might get used to it otherwise it's back to an old keyboard after that.

It should be another pretty calm week ahead and I have Wednesday off, so after getting the New Years Eve Celebration all set up on Tuesday I'll be outta there! Looking forward to another week just the same as last week and I don't really do anything for the holiday but might find something to do outside if it's anything like it was this past weekend. It was beautiful both Saturday and Sunday and was in the mid-60's both days, raked and pulled weeds for a while on Saturday and have the front looking pretty darn nice. I guess that's about it for this day, gonna watch a little Boom Town and then call it a night. Talk with you all again - have a great week yourself and a wonderful New Year! Good night.

Merry Christmas Everyone! It's 11pm here CST on Christmas Eve and just got done watching my gift dvd Natl Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and I swear regular movies will never be the same as seeing/hearing them on my home theater - it was totally different watching it tonight than any other time and was a GREAT way to end the evening. I just wanted to write and say that all is well with me tonight, I can't be more thankful for all of the friends and family that I've got.

Today was great, work was pretty busy and I gave all of my girls some of my xmas cookies that I slaved over, got a package in the mail from my brothers family which was a picture of my newest great-nephew along with a pretty special card from my brother that I'm still in shock from. And one of my girls bought me a turtle paper weight and a Monto coffee mug, not to mention the tree (not an xmas tree - more of a bushy keep it around kind) that they had waiting for me when I first got back in my office on Saturday. My GM invited me over for dinner tomorrow which is kind of a new tradition, love playing with his son's new toys while I'm there ....... David Jr. gets the kewlest stuff! So, that's about it, it's bedtime in this time zone and I'm gonna call it a nite, probably chill tomorrow and then it's back to work on Thursday.

I hope your holiday was special and you made the most of what you have, it really doesn't matter where you are as long as you know that! And that reminds me that when my Mom was still on this earth, that I always had this urge to jump on a plane on xmas eve and to be with her Christmas Day ...... but I don't have that urge any more so guess that it's a new phase in my life, I'm just happy being where I am at the current time which is fine by me and that's all that really matters. Merry Christmas to all, and to All a Good Night ..... did I hear that somewhere :?) Good night, and thanks again for listening :)

Man-o-Man what a beautiful day ...... mid 70's and blue skies and it certainly didn't seem like the first day of winter today - one of those shorts kind of days :) I didn't do a whole lot other than clean the house which was a mess from living in it full time all last week but that's all behind me now and I'm back to the normal routine, groceries are shopped and the laundry is done. I also got around to frosting all of those dang xmas cookies which took me a couple of hours, it was a pain in the butt if you ask me.

I was also successful finally in copying my latest dvd, took me the last two days of messing with it as the audio was about 10 seconds ahead of the video and I had to manually fix it by trial and error. At least I think that I've got that figured out and that hasn't been the first movie that has done that and not even sure why - I just like 'em when they are nice and easy to copy. I'm getting better at it though and it's getting easier and easier at least.

And it's back to work tomorrow, should be a couple of quiet weeks I'm hoping, we do a pretty mean New Years Eve bash that will be booking over the next 10 days so that'll keep us a little busy if nothing else. Oh, and I got an e-mail from our MIS person that she got me a new pc and I could either set it up myself or wait for her to get back on the 6th of January - I think that I'll go for it and have it all done before she gets back. I did go into my office last night and checked it out, the look of the thing didn't thrill me all that much as it's just this little black IBM cpu, certainly nothing in the looks department that thrilled me any. But it's a Pentium 4 so it's better than what I've got now and I'll have to see how it operates before I make any judgements. Probably the bad news is that it's Win NT so if she wants she can take my admin abilities away and lock me out from loading any new software without getting her permission, I'm not going to like that if that happens and will plead with the higher ups if that's the case. Copying all of my files over and getting my Palm all set up and my mailbox all set up should also take me the better part of this week too.

And I guess that's about it, last night at work was so uneventful that I won't even go into it, got home by 1am and then stayed up for a couple of more hours watching Mr. Deeds ....... stupid movie if nothing else. And I only made $5.00 in tips and didn't seem as big of a bash as last year but the drunk people were still the same. I was beat this morning though, but I'm back on routine at this point. Talk with you all later - have a GREAT week and only 3 more days till Christmas!!! Good night :o)

Saturday, December 21, 2002

The vacation has unfortunately come to an early close and I'm off to work in a bit, doing the shuttle driver position tonight for a Toys for Kids function at the hotel. We did the same thing last year and it was a crazy but fun night, think that I worked until about 3:30am last year but this year I'm hoping that it's going to be earlier - signed up for the 8pm - 12:30am shift so I hope that that's all that it is.

The vacation was great though, raked up almost half of my back yard yesterday and it was so nice that I even got to take my shirt off and work on the ole tan, then put a second coat of paint on my column by the front door and washed the truck too. Oh, and I got my digital camera yesterday too so I've been playing with that a little - just ask Montie and he HATES the thing! Oh, and the best highlight of the week was that I went on Thursday and got a massage - it was an hour of heaven except for the working out all of the stress bumps in my back ...... much needed and I felt GREAT afterwards too. And on Thursday I also baked up a big ole batch of Christmas cookies - still need to find the time to frost them or it'll all have been a waste of my time so I need to make that a priority!

Well, I'm going to run as I need to go to the office and print some reports before I start my other job, so I'll write more later and let you know how things went. If it's not tonight than it'll be tomorrow as I've still got a dvd to watch after I get home to help me unwind. Talk with you all soon - only 4 more days to xmas too!!!

Wednesday, December 18, 2002

Well, my vacation week is half over and I haven't done all that much, but it's nice to just kick back and do what I want to do ...... sleeping late has also been great! The weather has also been cooperating and it was close to 70' both yesterday and today, not totally sunny but the sun was in and out of the clouds but that's ok as long as it was warm enough without it. Yesterday I finished up all of my wrapping and went and shipped my boxes UPS and guess that it was just in the nick of time as after today they would have had to go air but should be where I sent them to on Monday. I also finished up writing up the rest of my Christmas cards but didn't have enough stamps to mail them all so I had to go into the post office. Then all I had was a $20 and didn't want to risk loosing it in the vending machine in the lobby (it's happened to me before), so I stood in line for at least 20 minutes just to buy a book of stamps. But I'm done for another year and was kind of a relief to get it all out of the way.

I also worked on pruning my bushes yesterday in front of the house, snipped 'em all down to little bonzi trees by hand although I thought about going and buying a electric pruner but didn't this time - but might have to sometime in the future. I went out today and finished up the other half of them and the front of the house is looking mighty good, and I also painted a pillar that is out by my front door that was all yellow with age (and sprinklers hitting them) and now it's beautifully white again. I was really happy with the way that that came out, was kind of frustrated with the looks of it but that did the trick! I might end up having to put a second coat on it again tomorrow, will have to see what it looks like after it's dry and in the daylight. I'd also like to wash the truck tomorrow too, and need to rack up leaves out back and also find some time to bake up my special xmas cookies.

Oh, and I decided that I would take my award cash and buy a digital camera - found the perfect one and ended up ordering it yesterday. If you want to see what it looks like you can click here - I'm just hoping that it's here on Friday as it shipped yesterday and is suppose to take three days - but might be Monday otherwise. And it must have been a big seller as right after I bought mine the camera went on backorder and there is now a 14 day wait - so I must have gotten the last one that they had ...... at least I hope that I got it before they sold out but haven't rec'd my UPS tracking number yet so I can't really tell if it's all ready in the mail. Not too sure what I'll even use the thing for, but at least that should mean more pics for my website and I'm rather excited about getting it.

I guess that's about it, work is fine and I'm staying on top of most of it and can just about do everything from home without even having to be in the office. But I got notification that my mailbox was over the limit so I'll have to figure that out tomorrow, but every time that I move files with attachments out of my in-box remotely my computer locks up so I didn't want to try and do that tonight. I've got to work on Saturday night for a big function driving a shuttle so my vacation will be over then - but it's from 8pm - 4am and hope that it'll be so much fun that it won't really feel like work.

And I guess that you've made it over the hump and it'll be the weekend before you know it, just hang in there as you've only got two more days! I'll talk with you all in a couple of days, take care until then.

Monday, December 16, 2002

Hello, it's me again :) And Day #01 of the vacation is done, Monday is just about over and it was a grand first day at that! I did end up doing quite a bit of work today as I had to complete next week's forecasts for both hotels and did that this afternoon along with getting caught up on my tracking from the weekend and e-mail also kept me rather busy. I also had quite a bit of complimentary and congratulation type note from people that I know for the Manager thing, still kind of hard for me to comprehend.

Oh, and I lucked out as I noticed that the last time I used my pressure washer it was leaking gas and finally took it apart on Saturday and the tank was cracked so I started searching the web for a place to buy one just like it. Then today I ended up calling a local place and they actually had one in stock so Montie and I took a ride into town and picked it up. They also had my electric pressure washer that I had given up for dead from about 6 months ago and they actually still had it and it was all fixed so I picked that up too. Then Montie and I had a nice picnic in the back of the truck at the parking lot at Burger King - man, it was such a beautiful day and it was almost 70' out. I think that I picked a really good week to take off as it's suppose to be in the high 60's all week and sunshine, I could get alot done as long as that keeps up! We came home and I put my washer back together again, no leaks as of yet so that's got to be a good thing.

I also finished up some last minute holiday shopping and need to have my boxes in the mail by Wednesday, so if I get them boxed up tomorrow I might do that a day early. I did realize tonight why I hate wrapping gifts, it's cuz I suck at it and it ain't no fun :( I also need to finish up my holiday cards meeting the same deadline, still have a pile more to write up so I also have to do that tomorrow. I got my dvd's in the mail all ready today and that's two days earlier than normal, thought that they would probably be slower than usual with the extra mail but for some reason they are here all ready - but I can't watch them until this weekend or I won't have any.

Not much else to report other than I plan on doing less work than I did today so that should free up more time to do other things. Not too sure what I'm going to do as I haven't even put together a list, well I have one in my head of the stuff that I want to get done but haven't written it down and checked it twice so whatever I get to I get to, and whatever I don't I'll do the next time. That's about it, gonna kick back and watch a little Crossing Jordan and I'm still on my normal school night schedule so that might even get me out of bed a little earlier than my normal weekend routine. Talk with you again, hope your shopping is just about done too! Good night.

Sorry, but I tried posting this last night but after I had written the entire thing and went to post it - it came back with some stupid error and I lost everything that I had written ...... and after doing that twice I gave up! But now I think that it's working again so I'll give it another try ........

I had written that I had just gotten back from our holiday party and that it was about 10pm so it was going to be a short one (again), but that I had wanted to give you the scoop as to what happened at the party. While I'm not one to toot my own horn I wanted to let you know that I won the Manager of the Year award and hadn't even seen it coming or given it a second thought. They choose from the winners of the four Manager's of the Quarter and I'm sure that it wasn't an easy decision on anyone's part as in my opinion we were all winners of the award. But just the same I was the one they chose and for the award I got a very nice plaque to go along with my Manager of the Quarter one, a $300 check, a three night stay at Sawgrass (Jacksonville) and four tickets to a Atlanta Braves game ....... I might even have to see if I can work it out to go to an actual game.

The food was also great - the usual holiday buffet deal and I think that I ate too much - the desert table was to die for and the chocolate cake was wonderful. It was also great to see everyone that you work with day in and day out all decked out and I don't think that I recognized half of them as they looked like totally different people. There were tons of prize giveaways too, but unfortunately I didn't win any of those but all in all it was a good time had by all.

Oh, and if you forgot I'm on vacation all of this week - finished up my 2003 Forecast over the weekend and have a little work to do from home but other than that I'm just gonna chill, finish up all that Christmas stuff and work around the house, sleep late and just do whatever I want to do. I think that I planned it out rather well too as I have this week off, then go back to work for two days and get a day off, work two more and then take two days off - and then do it all over again the following week! And I hope that you have a great week and that you don't work too hard. Keep smiling and stay happy, k :?)

It's a short one tonight, but I just wanted to let you know that Santa came early this year and had a box waiting on my doorstep when I came home tonight. And I wanted to thank Mrs. Clause, well I guess these days it's Ms. Clause after the big day but just the same - thank you very much for the thoughtfulness of your actions :) I guess that I should have warned you though that I've never been really good as to waiting until the actual holiday, I remember one year when I was in Elementary School where I unwrapped a watch that I was getting from the "secret" hiding place and wore it for like a month before Christmas, then wrapped it back up and was oh so surprised when I opened it up on Christmas Day. I've maintained the urge thus far though, except for the DVD (Natl Lampoon's Christmas Vacation) as the card said to open it up Xmas eve and I kind of knew what it was - just had to make sure that I didn't rent it whatever it was any time soon (I can justify anything in this brain of mine :o).

Thanks again though, I'll try my best to hold off on opening any of the others and I haven't opened up the "don't open till the 25th" card yet either, plus Montie is going to love opening up his gift too. It'll probably be the only ones that I open this year and no matter what it is, your thought and efforts are greatly appreciated. That's one thing during the holidays where I kind of miss not having my Mom around as she always sent me a box with gifts wrapped up, last year was the first time that it wasn't there but I think that I'll still miss it this year just the same. My brother did blow me away last year and remembered that my Mom always sent me a box of cheese and crackers and stuff and he did it and signed it from the Coop who always sent it before, kind of freaked me out when I got it as I thought that it was cheese from the heavens, well something like that :)

All else is well, Sales Strategy prep homework tonight but did talk to my best friend from home - he called me again and I actually answered the phone. I still really need to call my niece, gotta do it this Sunday night for sure ..... well, except I've got my holiday party that night - hmmm. I'll talk with you later - have a GREAT rest of another week. Good night from PCB - hope it ain't snowing where you are living tonight!

Tuesday, December 10, 2002

Not too much to report this evening, Tuesday is done and it's almost half way through another week. Kind of a quiet day, I'm not sure where all of the big people were today but they were out of pocket - sometimes that's not a good thing while other times it is. We were suppose to have had our monthly Staff Meeting today but that got postponed until next Tuesday, along with our monthly Credit Meeting and the good news is that I'll be on vacation and miss out on all of the fun! At least I think that I'm on vacation next week, I put in my vacation request to my boss yesterday who knew about it beforehand and didn't hear any differently so I'm assuming that it was ok with him but will have to check on it in another couple of days. I'm ready for a few days off though, will give me a chance to finish up the holiday and then it will be behind me - at least everything besides going through the next week which will be another unusual work schedule week.

And our holiday party is this coming Sunday night at another local hotel, doing the trade out deal where we do ours there and they do their's here - same place as last year and if nothing else we eat very well. Still kind of alot of work for a few hours having to dress up in a suit and tie, but it's one of those mandatory management committments so I'll just go with the flow - why fight it, right? And the Saturday night after that is our big Toys for Kids event where everyone has to work as shuttle drivers until like 3am, just like last year but it's a week later. The hours suck but it's a little bit of fun, plus I think that I made about $50 in tips last year too and the young ladies loved me :o)~

Nothing else to report though, I really need to call my neice back and also my best friend from home, my friend has called me at least three times and I wasn't here and my neice called me T-Day weekend and I can't find the right time to call either of them back. By the time I get a chance to call them it's too late for them, but I really do need to find the time to call them back just to say hey. I also had a message tonight from the manager at Peoples Bank and guess that they got my request to cancel all of my accounts and to send me my outstanding balance - guess that it's the first she heard that I had any issues even though I've written to them three times. She REALLY wants to talk to me to see what she can do to rectify the situation, but it's a month and a half too late and a couple of apologizes short. I'm not even sure if I'll call her back or not, I'll have to think about it overnight.

I guess that's about it, I've been working on trying to encode one dvd file for the last week and it's been driving me crazy - the video came out fine but the audio is giving me errors (at the last final point) and after spending hours for the last four or five days I gave up and deleted the entire movie - it was time to move on. I swear though, the more I get into it I'm finding there is a whole community of people doing the same thing, web sites galour and message boards - none of which could help me currently though ...... it was really starting to wear me out. Oh, and Montie is doing fine - I really don't think that he had any issues with his eyes and can see just fine, at least he can find the smallest of treats wherever they may be hiding ..... but maybe that's his nose that might be working!

Good night, I'll talk with you another day and I hope that you are all having a GREAT week! C-ya, keep on a-smiling!!! :o)

Sunday, December 08, 2002

I found out today that I met my storage limit today on my website so I hope that this saves ok, I was trying to upload some xmas music and it wouldn't go cuz that put me over the limit. So now I'm going to have to work on deleting stuff to get it back down where I have some free space left, or look at upgrading my account to give me more room to grow ....... I can't figure out how I used 25 meg when I can only see about 12.5 so I don't think that something is quite right.

But besides that all is well, it was a very nice Fall weekend and was in the 60's during the day and down in the 40's at night and I kind of like the weather like that, could be a little warmer but with the right layers of clothing it's warm enough. I made it out and strung up my Christmas lights on the front of the house, but I didn't have enough to go around the garage so I only have about 3/4 of the front lit up at this point. I'm not sure where they all went as I had enough last year to do the whole thing, but I did throw out 3 sets that didn't light up all of the way but bought 4 more boxes tonight that I'll have to hang at some point. And wouldn't you know it but there is all ready a section that's out on the ones that I've hung - and it's at the highest point of the roof so I'll have to break out the ladder again and replace them too.

Montie gave me a scare yesterday as I dropped him off to get his hair cut at 10am, then got a call from the groomer that she had him rushed over to the vet cuz one of his eyes were bleeding or something - then they were worried that it was pressure on his eye balls so they had him all tested out. Turns out that he doesn't have glucoma (?) and I only have to give him eye drops for the next five days but I blame the entire episode on the groomer lady as he was hyper as all heck. My old groomer moved away a few weeks ago and this one replaced her, and she only accepts the clients before 10am and then gets to them on a first come first serve basis which means that Montie sat there for five hours before they even got around to working on him. I've decided that I'm def gonna find a new groomer after this whole deal, as I didn't like her and neither did Monto, I've all ready got someone in mind but need to see if she is accepting new clients at this point. Montie is doing well tonight though, not too much worse for the wear.

Oh, and I watched a couple of dvd's this weekend - one was The Others and the other one was Mulholland Drive. The Others had some really freaky parts in it and I'd recommend it although it was a little confusing between the living and the dead while Mulholland Drive was totally messed up - I was totally confused by the time that I got done watching that one. Still messing around with my copying deal, completed four of them but still end up getting new issues that arise with each one. I just figure that the more that I do the easier it will get, so I'll keep working on it for now (until I get so frustrated that I one day give up).

And I think that I'm over my rut issue for now, feeling better about things and it ended up being a pretty good week last week, and hope for more of the same for the upcoming week. Not too much happening I don't think - and I might even be taking the week after next off for vacation, guess we shall see. I think that's about it for another day, hoping that you are finding some holiday spirit and are getting into the shopping and such - I really need to start working on Xmas cards if I'm ever going to send any! Night, talk with you again sometime soon.

Wednesday, December 04, 2002

What's up, the week is half over (or better!) and I bet that most of you are freezing your butts off tonight! Not too much to report here, things have warmed up a little bit and it's still mucho warmer now that it has been - but that just means that the rain is on it's way and should be here sometime before morning. It's been a pretty normal week, slightly behind in my schedule but it should be downhill from here, just a couple of Sales Strategy Meetings to get through and then this week will be done.

And just when I had the dvd copying process down pat which took me a little over three weeks to figure out, my Hungarian friend from the cafeteria throws me another challenge and wants me to convert 2 cd's in avi format into a dvd format playable on a home dvd player. So that's been my newest challenge, not even too sure that it can be done but spent last evening and tonight trying to get it to work but haven't figured it out yet. I may give up on this one though as it's not all that important and the quality of a dvd to dvd is much better anyways, so I might be wasting my time but I love to see if I can figure something new out ....... I don't give up very easily. I'm also in the process of trying to figure out the digital camera that our Security Department owns as they say that it won't download the pics anymore and the software is corrupt (or something like that), so I'll have that working in another day or two also I'm sure. I brought it home with me last night but they forgot to give me the serial port cable that I needed so I couldn't do anything more than to read the manual on it and it sounds pretty easy.

Oh, and I also installed my four side window deflectors and the back window one too on my truck last night after I got home, the other one showed up a day later than the first one and had planned on waiting until this weekend. But I didn't and they weren't too hard to glue on, and I have to admit that I really like the look of them on the truck versus seeing them as a stand-alone, they fit perfectly and they are even manufactured by Ford - they're the real deal for my Sports Trac. I did have to keep the windows rolled up for 24 hours after I installed them to make sure they set right, but I guess that time is up by now. I also think that they will eliminate my troubles with the rain if and when it rains again.

Nothing else though, still trying to find a meaning in life as I think that I'm in a rut or something these days and it all seems kind of senseless - or for better words a lack of purpose. It just seems like we do it all day in and day out, week in and week out, month in and month out ...... well you get my point and nothing ever changes, guess that I feel like that sometimes but not all the time, plus I don't feel as though I'm getting much support these days from the higher-ups on things that would really make a difference. But I'm sure that it'll pass, maybe a new challenge will come my way and that'll change things, at least for a while any way. I think that it will make a difference to take a week's vacation in a couple of weeks, probably just the thing that I need.

Oh, and before I forget I got this kewt e-mail today, if nothing else it makes me grateful that I ain't married and goes something like this ....... it's called "Quick, Before It Starts" .......

A man came home from work, sat down in his favorite chair, turned on the TV, and said to his wife, "Quick, bring me a beer before it starts." She looked a little puzzled, but brought him a beer. When he finished it, he said, "Quick, bring me another beer. It's gonna start."

This time she looked a little angry, but brought him a beer. When it was gone, he said, "Quick, another beer before it starts."

"That's it!" She blows her top!" You bastard! You waltz in here, flop your fat ass down, don't even say hello to me and then expect me to run around like your slave. Don't you realize that I cook and clean and wash and iron all day long?"

The husband sighed. "It's started!"

Hehehe, still kind of makes me laugh reading it again like it did the first time :) And I guess that's it for December 4th, check back in at a later time and see what else is up. Talk with you again, have a GREAT rest of the week. Good night for now and I'll talk with you again sometime soon.

Monday, December 02, 2002

I was just thinking ..... that I really need to find a massage therapist to do something with all of the stress in my neck, I went a few times and I swear it's almost better than se_ ...... sorry, this is a family rated show so I won't go there :( But I had a falling out with the last place that I went so I never went back - and also haven't found another one that I might try next. I do think that it was the best think that I have done to make my body feel better and I can just feel the tension knots in my shoulders that I would love to get rid of some day.

Sorry, not sure how I got on that topic but that was the first thing on my mind, Monday is done and only four more to go! Today went fine but for some reason it was busy as all heck, I don't think that anyone did any work last week and everyone started back up today. But the hotel is rather dead so outside of the phone and e-mail there wasn't all that much going on, which was a good thing as the rest of it kept me nice and busy all day. Still working on month end, but at least the most pressing deadlines are met. I also fixed my HR Director's pc, well I probably didn't fix it but got it running much better than before and I really enjoy that kind of work - it's not work as it's almost fun to me.

And I got my window visor things for my Sports Trac today, the things that go around the top of the windows as when it rained the water just poured right in. I almost forgot that I ordered them a couple of weeks ago and never remembered that I even wanted them until I was driving in the rain and all of the water on the roof came running in the windows - I swear that it's a poor design flaw with this vehicle as none of my other Explorers did that. And in addition to ordering one for each of the four side windows I also ordered one for the back window that rolls down at the touch of a button - but the same delemia applied and the water rolled in onto the back seat. That one didn't come though even though I ordered it at the same time and it was on the same order and they charged me for it - I just hope that it'll be here in another day or so so that I don't have to go tracking it down. I also did a little holiday shopping tonight for the Lil Rugrats of the Family, it's a start but figured that I'll be running out of time before I know it.

That's about it for tonight, Crossing Jordan is on and I haven't seen it so I think that I'll watch that for a while. Have a great rest of the week, and I'll be writing more for you later if you wanna check back then. See ya, and I hope that all is well in your world as well.

Well, I apologize for not writing in close to a week, think that I just kind of needed a break for a while. Plus it was a pretty messed up week as Wednesday night was like Friday night, Thursday night was like Sunday night and then Friday and Saturday we did it all over again, but I think that I'm back on my regular schedule again. It was a pretty quiet week last week, at least Wednesday and Friday were very quiet and we only worked till about 3pm each day, doesn't make much sense taking an entire vacation day to get the day off when we only worked 3/4 of each of them anyways.

My T-Day was totally uneventful but that's ok, I had gone to my GM's house the last couple of years but he took his family out of town to go and visit their daughter at college in Gainesville so I didn't end up going there. Montie and I just kicked back and baked our turkey and ate that and stuffing and all of the other good stuff. It was a quiet day, didn't even go outside all day. I was on the edge of breaking my dvd writing process on Wednesday night and needed a dvd-r disk but only had a box of dvd+rw so I thought that I was stuck, so before it got too late Montie and I went to the Radio Shack in my neighborhood only to find out that they didn't have any, so we ended up driving into town to go to Circuit City where I picked up a couple. And while we were there I also stopped in at Home Depot (same parking lot) and bought some rye grass and some Scott's Halt Crabgrass Inhibitor and didn't get home until about 8:30pm. I did get the copying of the dvd process down and it works like a charm, but as it turned out I didn't need the disk that I went and bought and needed the ones that I had, but at least it got me out of the house for a while.

Yesterday was another slug day though, watched E! tv for a while and hung out as it was sprinkling rain most of the day but then it cleared up so I went out and planted my grass seed in the front yard. I have to wait a few more weeks until a good frost come along and kills the rest of my crabgrass, then the stuff that I bought is suppose to not let it grow back. Got my haircut too, although Montie got a break and I couldn't get him in until next Saturday so he was happy to hear that.

Next week should be a fairly normal week, but I'm all ready starting out the month behind the eight ball as we didn't do the group accruals that we should have done on Friday so we'll be scrambling to get that together first thing in the morning. But once we get the month end stuff behind us I don't think that much else will be happening next week. I also need to burn a week's vacation sometime in December, was originally shooting for taking it in November but never did find a good week so I'm hoping for that in another week or two. Nothing big planned though, but there is a ton of stuff that I need to do around here that I can never find time for on the weekend - so I'll make a list and check it twice ...... need to do those dang Christmas lights too :) And that's about it, I hope that everyone had a great holiday weekend and that no one had to work on Friday, and just think, it'll be Xmas before any of us knows it. Talk with you again sometime soon, stay happy until we do! Good Night.
