While I'm thinking about it, what do you think about my floating clock on my home page - obnoxious or what? I'm thinking that I don't like it as much as I first did so I might have to take it back down. And sorry but I can't write much tonight, my dvd writer disk drive came tonight and I had to take apart my pc to take out my dvd reader so that I could send that back and install the new one that took forever to get working correctly. But, I was able to burn my first dvd and it even played on my Philips home theater so I think that I'm on to something, I only did a small vhs file and it worked perfectly. I think that I'm at least headed in the right direction, told you I didn't give up easily and now I'm trying to convert a dvd movie and I'll burn it tomorrow if all goes well ........ only time will tell how it works.

And for some reason every time that I take apart my pc and unplug all of the wires and then hook it up again my wireless network starts over like it's brand new, so my laptop goes down with no internet so I had to figure that out again too. I've decided that I like pc's when I know how they work - but trying to learn a new program can be frustrating as all heck :( I'm done with it for tonight, but tomrrow brings another day :o) And that's about all that I have to say for today, my day went well and my trainee has moved on, so life is back to normal at least for this week. Happy Tuesday - it'll almost be like a hump day having Thursday off - but I've got to work Friday so it'll be a strange kind of week. Stay happy and smile, and I'll talk with you all again sometime soon. Nite!

Not too bad of a weekend, at least the weather finally cooperated and it was nice and sunny but the temps were only in the 60's so that made it slightly cool. I had intended to go out and wash my truck yesterday but then ended up mowing my lawn instead as half of it needed it, then figured that I might as well do the rest while I was out there and that it might be the last time I do it for a while. Looks better now any way, except of course for all of the holes of dead grass that's still left. I've been trying to buy some rye grass for the last couple of weeks, figured that I'd at least oversead the front yard and not worry about the back, but my Walmart has been sold out of the stuff both this week and last week so I guess that everyone else has the same idea. Oh well, maybe one of these days I'll get around to it, maybe I won't.

I ended up taking my visitor out with a couple of people from work last night, we had a mexican dinner and then went to the movies. And we ended up going to see that new James Bond movie which was ok and I guess that I liked it, although I've never really liked any of the other Bond movies that I've seen before. At least the special effects were pretty cool and they must have spent a couple of million making that movie and there were some pretty good parts. It was longer than I would have liked, but oh well what is a guy to do. And Friday night I ended up watching a DVD, don't even remember the name but it was ok too, and got two more yesterday that I'll have to watch sometime this week.

I think that it'll be a pretty normal week, kind of hoping for a quiet one at that as all of my visitors have left and I don't even really have any deadlines to be met ...... first time that I can say that in a while. I'll still have to work out my schedule with not working on Thursday will kind of screw things up, but I am working Friday but figure that most other people will not. Not too sure about Sales Strategy Meetings this week, hoping I can just prepare for them and then just hand my stuff out. And my office supervisor is on vacation all next week so the girls will be answering directly to me ...... that in itself could be enough to stress me out all week!

My heat is still working wonderfully, the house is clean and the groceries are shopped ...... although tv sucks tonight but I guess that I'll live. And that's about all I've got for another day - check back soon and see what else I have to say. Good night, have a great short week and a wonderful Thanksgiving and I'll talk with you all another day. Good night.

Thursday, November 21, 2002

Just a short note to let everyone know that I made it through another week, well almost as long as tomorrow goes just as well. One Sales Strategy Meeting down and one more to go tomorrow, but I've spent the last two evenings getting ready for each one. But it's ok, the first one went well and I'm sure that tomorrow's will go just the same. I also have a conference call tomorrow afternoon with my Courtyard to try and work out a game plan on what I'll be doing with them - but I'm definitely not ready with the list of questions that I was suppose to have ready for them.

I think that my training week has been going ok, at least he keeps coming back at the end of every day with more questions so I guess that he must be learning something. And the funny part of it is - is the more questions he asks me the more it makes me think ..... why we do things the way we do them and if there isn't a better way. I hope to get a few people together from work and take him out to the movies or something on Saturday night as I feel kind of bad that I haven't even allowed him to leave the property since he got here. That might be a good time had by all, but we'll have to see what comes together between now and then.

I think that it's going to be a beautiful Fall weekend around these parts with highs in the 60's for like the next 10 days. And that reminds me, my weed people were here today and left me a note that I needed to apply crabgrass killer or that it'd be back next spring and I'm not sure what that means - if I need to do the entire lawn or what as I'm not even sure what it looks like. I don't quite understand why they can't do it - isn't that what I pay them for in the first place? Might be a weekend project just the same.

And I guess that's about it - watching ER and it's been ok so far, not as good as it used to be but watcha gonna do, watch a movie every night :?) Speak with you again sometime soon, thanks for listening and good night from PCB :o)

Tuesday, November 19, 2002

Wow, it's been another one of those weeks all ready and it's only Tuesday ...... at least it'll be more than half over after tomorrow! I had a pretty darn good day yesterday and worked from home until noon due to the power outage at the hotel which went off without a hitch. The first thing yeserday morning I called my heating & ac company and begged them to come back as I had no heat and didn't want to pay another $49 for them to just show up and they sent someone over by 10am. As it turns out I think this guy figured it all out and the thermostat was wired correctly after the first guy on Saturday fixed that, but there was so much excess freon in the heat pump that it wouldn't even heat right if it wanted to. So the second guy was here for just over two hours and sucked about 5 pounds of freon out of the unit and now it's working great - both the heat and cooling works wonderfully without even rewiring a thing! And it does feel good to have heat again, and the nights are still mighty cold and down in the 40's all week. The best part about that deal is that they agreed that the first guy should have noticed it and didn't - so the second trip didn't cost me another cent :)

And I also called my dvdovernight place to tell them that I still hadn't gotten my first shipment and there was no way I could send back what I didn't have, and they instantly credited my account and gave me an $8.00 credit - and then all I did was refresh my account on my computer screen and my account was cleared :o)~ Double smile there! I also signed up for a 9 channel Showtime deluxe deal last week for $4.00 for six months and that was supposed to have been turned on on Saturday. But when it wasn't I called and they said they had no record of it and scheduled someone to come out in like 2 weeks to turn it on, but then later that day it was working so I called yesterday morning and cancelled their visit. I'm going to cancel HBO when my 6 month special runs out as there is never anything on to watch, and I'll get an additional 4 channels of Showtime for the same price as them. So, all and all things have been going in my favor - at least so far that is. And it's also amazing as to how many telemarketers you miss while you are at work!

It's been a crazy week though at work and I'm swamped, plus having a trainee sitting next to me for half of the day isn't helping things, but I'm trying to take it in stride and show him as much as I can. I've also at least scheduled him to work with other people for half of the day so I guess that it could be worse - gotta make lemonaide with the lemons, eah? Sales Strategy prep tomorrow so I hope that goes ok, and my other hotel has requested their reports early as they might not have much time to spend on Friday doing a conference call ...... such is life. I at least got my 3rd, part time hotel that's up for sale to let me back out of the picture and we did so on very good terms - at least that frees up my other two free minutes to move on to an hour of work at the Courtyard ...... man, when am I going to learn to just say "no thanks" :?) The weather has been very nice - sunshine has a way of putting a smile on my face ...... and it's late and I've gotta run so I'll talk to you again. Good night for now, till we meet again.

Oh, and before I forget again - you can check out my other IPIX that I threw up in a hurry - click ipix to get there. LATER!

Sunday, November 17, 2002

Still messing with my dvd copying deal and haven't figured it out quite yet, but maybe someday I can say that I did. And it was a beautiful Fall day in in PC Beach, probably only in the 50's during the day and I'm sure that it's going to be one cold one tonight! I am going to have to call my heat repair man tomorrow and get him back here as it only runs the auxillary heat for a couple of minutes and then just blows cold air after that. I guess that he wasn't quite as brilliant as I had thought.

And tomorrow is the day the lights went out at Bay Point, at least between the hours of 8am and 2pm as we are replacing the main transformer so we'll be without power for most of the day. I'm not even really sure what I am suppose to be doing, but figured that I'd work from home all morning and then go in around noon even though all I can do at that point is sit around in the dark with no computers. My office is closed along with most of the other support departments so it'll almost be like a holiday for us (well, without pay). Our Executive in Development arrived tonight (I think) to work with me, but what once started out with him coming to be exlusively for me has changed to working with just about everyone at the hotel - at least that's a good thing as I can get a little work done this week. Since we have no power tomorrow he's going golfing with a couple of people from Sales, so I'm not even to sure when I'll get to meet him. Should make for an interesting week if nothing else, I just hope that we can keep him busy all week.

And I guess that I'm ready for another new week to begin, didn't get all that much extra sleep this weekend as I was up by 8am yesterday to meet the hvac guy and then this morning it was bright and sunny and couldn't sleep. The house is clean though and the laundry is done, and even the groceries are shopped at this point ........ just another usual Sunday in these parts of the world. Oh, I just remembered that it's my brother's birthday today so I should call him before it gets too late - at least I remembered to send him a card a few days ago and is just another one of those wonders of owning a Palm Pilot - you never forget a thing!

And that's about it for another day, good night for now and I'll talk with you again sometime later. Take it easy and have a great week.

Saturday, November 16, 2002

It's Saturday night so that means that half of this weekend is all ready over, but it was another one of those "no motivation to do anything kind of days" ...... seems like most of my Saturday's lately have been like that. I think that for the most part, the reason I've been like that lately is that it's rained the last 3 or 4 Saturdays in a row - and this one was just another one of those dark and gloomy days all day long even though it didn't rain all that much. And it was probably in the 50's if it even got that warm, but my Thermostat Fixer man showed up at 8:30am, right on schedule too! I think that he might have fixed it so that my heat pump both heats and cools without rewiring the thermostat, although it didn't seem like it was working all that well when I tried out the heat a little while ago. But for the 30 minutes he spent here and the $49 he charged he had better have fixed it - or I won't have any trouble in calling them to come back and try and fix it again. I was close in my wiring too, but for some reason he had to jump two of the terminals in the garage to get it to work - not sure how he knew that but guess that's why he gets paid the big bucks.

I at least went out and raked my front yard and while I picked up two big ole bags of pine needles and dead grass it still looks like crap. I think that I'm going to plant rye grass again at least out front as I won't be able to handle looking at the dead spots all winter long. I called my lawn people and asked them about planting it and they don't recommend it as it makes it harder for the grass to grown next spring but guess that I'll deal with that when the time comes. And the rye grass is about the only grass that you can get that grows after the other stuff goes dormant, so if you plant it at least you have a green lawn all winter and then it dies when it warms back up. I dunno though, I still think that that's where half of my problems started this year is from when I planted that stuff last winter, so I might have to think twice before doing it again.

I've also been spending way too much time working on my pc as I found a program to copy dvd's with, then realized that I needed a DVD player for my pc so I ordered that and put it in last night. I've also messed up my wireless network one or two times and that's why I haven't really written much lately as I lost my internet connection on my laptop. But all is working again today and I really didn't think that I would get this far, but I copied a dvd and it's suppose to fit on a cd that you can burn it to, but it's too big so now all I can do is watch it on the pc. I'm trying a different way of copying it again right now, and if this doesn't work than I think that I might have to give up. It works but I've had to figure out each step along the way and download this and download that - and I've wasted so much time over the last four or five days trying to figure it out that it's not funny. At least I don't give up very easily - if I had I would have gave up a few days ago.

And I watched the movie Sum of All Fears last night and it was a really good flick although I kind of think that they could have come up with a better ending. And I got two more movies in the mail today so I'm going to watch Hanibal tonight and Moulholland Drive maybe next Friday - those were the same to that I had to reorder after the first ones never showed up. And I guess that's about it, at least it's about all that I can think to tell you so I'm going to run and kick back and watch my dvd and then call it a day. Feel free to leave me a comment and let me know what you've been up to, and I'll talk with you again sometime soon. Good night!

Friday, November 15, 2002

Man, I haven't written since Monday and I can't really stay too long tonight either. I'm watching Sum of All Fears on DVD and so far it's a good flick, but I'm only about 30 minutes into it but it's getting pretty good. I just wanted to say that it was another rough week, I might elaborate someday but all that matters is that we've made it though the week and the weekend is HERE! It's raining tonight though, think that it's suppose to rain all day tomorrow too ....... why does it always rain on Saturday lately?

That's about all that I wanted to say, I hope that everyone has a very relaxing weekend and gets some rest. I've gotta be up by 8am to meet my ac and heating guy who hopefully will fix my thermostat once and for all, I've been messing with it for the last two years and haven't gotten it right so I'm hoping that he might have better luck. Talk to you all again sometime soon.

Monday, November 11, 2002

Happy Monday Evening everyone ....... it's all down hill from here, just remember I said that! And I feel like I'm back on my normal schedule again and that makes me happy, guess that by watching a movie last night that messed me all up so I won't be doing that again. But at least they are back in the mail on their way to dvdovernight, and I ordered two more this evening that I am hoping will be here something this weekend. I did get a note back from them on my dvd's that never arrived as I was asking what I was suppose to do since I couldn't return what I didn't have - and they were pretty kewl about it and said that they couldn't consider them MIA until after 21 days but they would up my rental maximum and gave me a chance to rent a couple of more without returning the one's that I just sent back. I think that they're gonna be cool though, sounds like it happens to them more than I would have guessed but with the bright yellow DVD'S in this envelope I'd have to say that it's kind of their own fault.

Today was fine though, busy but not overwhelming, got both of my weekly forecasts done and business is doing well all around. I'm starting to get into working from home for two hours on Monday and Thursday's and find I get a heck of alot done, still kind of struggling with the "always working" feeling but that's ok. My biggest accomplishment came tonight as I got my seven IPIX files e-mailed to me today finally, and I wanted to publish them on our website as that was the only reason that I had them done in the first place. But when I tried I couldn't get them to work no matter what I tried, but then I figured out that I had to download the viewer from IPIX.com and upload those files to my server, then write the java script in the pages to make them work right. I'll have to admit, sometimes I even impress myself sometimes but I love a good challenge figuring out what makes things work ...... what can I say, I'm the "take the watch apart to figure out what makes it tick and then put it back together and get it to work again" kind of guy! I finished up one page at least, it's the one from our bar Circes, so if you wanna see the 360' click here. Please let me know how it works as I'm not too sure that it works across all platforms of browsers, at least it works on all of mine :)

And it was suppose to have rained all day but never did until after I got home tonight, wicked rains and think even maybe some hail, along with thunder and lightning and Montie was giving me that "I'm not going out there look" all night. It's gone now I think, but it's still suppose to be with us all day tomorrow but it seems like it's moved on for now, I'm just not too sure. And it's HOT and humid - it was 82' when I went to work this morning at 9am, but think that that's about to change sometime soon too. And on a bummer note tomorrow is our monthly Staff Meeting along with the usual Forecast Meeting, so that blows a good afternoon so I'm gonna have to get alot done in the morning so that I don't fall behind for the rest of the week.

I guess that concludes another day in the Life of the Shampster, hehehe - I just thought that one up :) And if you really want to see something funny - click this, it's quite the hoot (and the more I watch it the funnier it is) :o)~ Good night till another day - stay happy and keep smiling, I will if you will so let's both do, k :?)

Sunday, November 10, 2002

Well, another weekend has just about come to a close and it wasn't all that much of a productive one at that. It rained all afternoon yesterday so that pretty much wiped out any plans of doing anything outside, and with those plans shot I didn't really do a whole lot. I did try to rewire my thermostat again as when I tried to turn on the heat the other day it didn't work so I guess that it wasn't wired any better than it was before. I thought that I had it all figured out and the AC guy even checked it out a month ago when he was here but nope, it wasn't working any better than the last time. And even after messing with it for a few hours and checking the wiring in the garage I still don't think that I got it right so I might just have to break down and see if a profession can figure it out. Who knows, maybe it's the thermostat that's messed up and not me :?)

I at least got my second order of dvd's and they came yesterday, and watched Domestic Disturbance last night which was a pretty good flick. I still need to figure out what I'm going to do with the first missing order as they should have been returned all ready but I can't return what I don't have so I sent them a note to ask them what I'm suppose to do. And I hope that they figure it out rather quickly too as it's going to mess up my ordering schedule as you can only have four movies out at a time and they count as two.

Other than that I had quite a bit of motivation today that I seemed to not have yesterday, cleaned the house and did the laundry and shopped for groceries so I'm ready for a new week. I got a jump start on my work week too so I'm hoping that the week goes rather well - but I guess that I won't know that until I get into it. At least this week should be normal but I've got a Executive in Development with the company spending the following week training with me so that might be a rather unproductive week ....... then the following week is the big T-Day which should make for a short week then too. And dang, Christmas will be only four more weeks after that, guess this year is pretty well shot.

I guess that I'll end this here as I am in the middle of watching a movie but wanted to jot down a few sentences to start the new week. I hope that you have a good one and I'll try and do the same, let me know how things are going when you have a chance. Talk with you later - Mr. or Miss Little Tator :)

Friday, November 08, 2002

Dang if I'm not glad that it's Friday as it's been one busy week and I'm one worn out unit. And Friday's for the last couple of weeks have seemed like they have lasted forever, not sure why but the day just drags on ...... and on. Not a bad week though looking back at it, got the budget meeting over with and survived the rest of the stuff, all in all it was pretty successful - just glad that it's done!

The weather sure does feel like Fall, it was down in the 40's last night but that is suppose to be the worst of it and then things should be warming up from there. Today felt really good as it was in the low 70's and tomorrow they say is going to be close to 80'. If I don't do anything else tomorrow I need to wash my truck as after a week of being poured on and driving through it the thing is filthy. I also should start to get the yard ready for winter as it'll be here before I know it and in between raking and weeding there is a heck of alot to do out there. I also need to finish up pressure washing one section of the front of the house that I didn't get to last weekend plus some of the brick on the side needs some work too, plus I could actually do a little painting of the trim if I happen to be very ambitious.

Other than that, I still haven't recieved any of my dvd's that I ordered - I got an e-mail back from them who said that they must just be delayed in the mail but by now I'm not too sure about that. At least I've got the one someone loaned me that I can watch tomorrow night, didn't feel like doing a movie tonight as I'm too beat. I guess that's it for another day, I hope that you have an awesome weekend just the same. Good night, talk with you again sometime soon.

ps ...... my webcam at work has been working for days now so if it's daytime here you can check out the sunshine this weekend - click ME to see what's going on!

Wednesday, November 06, 2002

Well, the hump is done and dang if it didn't get here pretty darn quick, not sure what it is with this week but it is flying right by! Today was a nice and sunny day but pretty darn cold, maybe 70' if we were lucky but it's suppose to be down in the 40's tonight. And last night we had one heck of a storm, monsooning rain and wicked thunder and lightning - the Monto was freaking out all evening but at least I was here for him. The lights flickered a few times and I had to shut down the pc but then we never did end up loosing power which was pretty surprising. Must have picked up a couple of inches of rain at the least and you could tell that today with all the standing water in the ditches.

Work has been going well this week, ended up having that "forum" meeting with our Regional HR person today, I thought that it was yesterday for some reason but it was even worse having it today as that put me way behind in my Sales Strategy Meeting prep, but guess that I got most of it complete. It went fine but after an hour and a half I was getting pretty impatient - I'm like, I've got to leave in 10 minutes one way or another. Probably didn't do anything for us, but if it made her happy than I guess we met our goal for the meeting. She's the last of the corporate staff and leaves tomorrow, then things should be pretty much back to normal.

Oh, and I found my IPIX were up on the site that did them for us, at least 4 out of the 7 are there and I still need to get copies of them before I can put them up on our site. But if you want to check them out you can click here and then follow the links, please try and let me know how they load for you "dial up connectors" reading this. I'm not sure how quick they load with that connection, but it's very quick on a cable modem so I'm not sure. I should get the files in a few days though - have a call into the guy that is in charge of them.

I'm still waiting for my DVD's too - from the first order I might add and think that I am loosing hope at this point and e-mailed them yesterday that they still hadn't arrived yet. They haven't answered me yet so I'm not sure where it'll go from here, but one of my friends let me borrow the dvd Sum of All Fears that I can watch this weekend. And I'll have to wait and see when order #02 shows up as I ordered them last Saturday, if they show up first than I'll assume the other ones are lost ...... which I'm not paying for either! And I guess that's about it for tonight, hoping that it'll get quieter for the next couple of days and things will just slide into the weekend at this point. Not too sure what's up but I'm sure that I'll find something to do ....... Fall has arrived so I don't think that I'll be doing all that much lawn work from now on until Spring arrives. Good night, hope your week has been going just as well - and I'll talk with you again sometime soon.

Monday, November 04, 2002

One more day and these stupid election commercials will be done, now that'll be a good thing. And my Monday is done and I feel like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders with our budget review meeting behind us at this point and things should be getting back to normal again ...... however normal my life is :o) The meeting went well though, I was only there for the first two hours and was done by 10am, I did my part and think that I held my own. On one side I was glad that we practiced as much as we had, but on the other side I had heard it all so many times that it wasn't even interesting any more, but I guess that we did ok with the Corporate Team. I was invited out with the rest of the Executive Committee to go out at like 3pm for afternoon cocktails in celebration and to put it all behind us, kind of a thank you for spending the last two months going through heaven and well, HELL :) But I couldn't go, especially on a Monday as I had two 9 Day Forecasts to get out plus it's month end and catching up on tracking from the weekend. It's ok though, at least they invited me to go and I guess that's all that really matters.

So now I'm back on my normal schedule of doing an hour or two of work from home, couldn't do it today as I had to be at the meeting this morning at 7:30am and now going into work at my old time feels like it messes me up, guess that means that I am starting to get used to my new schedule just a little bit. Still busy as all heck and don't see it slowing down any time soon but still need to pick a week next month to take a week off, haven't decided when yet but it's usually at the last minute when I can jump at the opportunity. Oh, and I found out that my 3rd hotel that was suppose to be sold on November 1st was delayed by 2 more weeks so I'll continue to keep an eye on them at least until half way through this month. I was kind of hoping that they would go away and that I could pick up a Courtyard as I think that it would be neat to learn a new yield management system, but I guess that'll have to wait a few more weeks before I get that opportunity.

And I was kind of a butt-head to my Supervisor in the office today and she didn't talk to me all day, but from the moment I got out of my meeting she had all kinds of issues that she wasn't dealing with very well and that set me off from there. So to make it up I baked a pan of brownies that I'll present to her tomorrow as a token of my forgiveness and we'll take it from there. I also have to attend some stupid meeting with our Corporate Human Resources person that is staying on for the week, it's like me and 10 managers that are invited to sit in on a forum of some sort ....... I really don't know how I got nominated for this one. But if I've learned anything in the past couple of weeks it's to just go with the flow and don't ask why ....... it's much easier to accept that way.

Oh, and now I'm rather ticked off that my dvd's still haven't arrived and in looking at the return due-date I need to have them back by 11/10 and tomorrow is the 5th - so of course I'll be sending them a nasty (well, stearn) note back telling them what they can do with their due date ...... put a damper on my future of using them if nothing else. I bought a new umbrella yesterday too as the one that I had was this big ole thing and this one is sweet, push the button and it opens - push it again and it closes, plus it's tiny and no bigger than a file that I'm always carrying anyways. It's the little things in life where I find my enjoyment, guess that you've got to take it wherever you can get it.

And that's about it for tonight, again I'm really glad that this day is behind me and we can move forward from here. Have a great rest of the week, don't let the small stuff bother you as life is too short for that ...... look for the humor in things and smile from there! Good night, talk with you again sometime soon.

Sunday, November 03, 2002

Well, that weekend sure did go by quickly, and we'll be getting ready to start a new week before we know it. I hope that you had an enjoyable past couple of days, didn't seem like I did all that much actually. I did go out and clear out my pile of dirt next to the new palm tree yesterday and just kind of spread it out over the lawn and wasn't all too bad but just took me a while. I also tried to cut out a stump of the tree that I cut down before my new one was installed - but it got the best of me and I gave up before I finished it. Oh, and you probably have all ready noticed the picture of my new tree on my home page, but if you didn't notice you can click on that picture to take you to the page with a few more pics. The bummer part of that story is that it was cloudy all day today and the pictures came out like crap, I should have taken the time yesterday to do it as it was simply beautiful outside - bright and sunny at that too. So I might have to retake the pictures on another day, we shall see.

I ended up going into work yesterday morning and was there sitting through another budget prep meeting and my part lasted close to two hours, plus I rushed to get up and get there on time so I wasn't even really awake yet so I don't think that I did my best and am sure that things will go much more smoothly tomorrow. At least once I make it through tomorrow morning this whole budget process will be behind us but I guess that we'll see how things go. I just hope that I'm there for the minimal amount of time (58 minutes according to our trial run) as I've got a ton of stuff to do.

Oh, and I finally got around to pressure washing the front of my house, looks like it's brand new again and I love my pressure washer, it's just the greatest thing! And my dvd's never did show up yet so I'm not sure how long it takes the dang mailman to get them here if they were mailed last Monday, guess that I'll have to work out the timing thing and after a few times I should have it down. I ordered two more on Saturday but don't think that will make much difference than ordering them on Sunday, so I might even need to back that up a day or two from there. I did watch a ppv movie on Friday night - The Panic Room and I'd recommend it as it was rather scary and left you on the edge of your seat, although the ending did suck but besides that it was pretty good. That's one thing that's different with dvd's though as the sound is no where near it watching a movie on ppv or HBO, dvd's still rock!

I guess that's about it for tonight, Fall is here and the big T-Day is right around the corner, at least that's good for an extra day off if nothing else. Oh, and did you click on my link on my home page for the fireworks show, it's good to kill 5 or 10 minutes if nothing else. I'll talk with you again sometime soon ...... it's in the 70's during the day and 50's at night and I really kind of like this weather, just wish that my lawn liked it as much as I do. Good night for now - at least until another day - TGIM so make the most of it! :o)

Uuuugh, won't this week ever end! Now not only did I get sucked back into the budget review meeting again today with no advance notice I got a call on my Nextel this afternoon that we are also doing one final review tomorrow at 9am ...... and on a Saturday morning at that :( I guess if nothing else it'll get me out of bed bright and early but actually I think that I could use to sleep in. At least my part of the budget meeting is minimal so I should be out of there with the hour if I'm lucky - that's what I'm hoping at this point anyways.

And I ended up having a pretty good Sales Strategy Meeting with Portsmouth today, they all just followed along and we had a pretty good start to figuring how how we are going to make things work. I am starting to realize that doing two hotels is almost twice as much work, and think that it'll wear me out after a while but guess that I just need to get through the budget and see how things go from there. And I got alot done today even with all of the meetings - actually seemed like the day went on forever before it was over.

My dvd's didn't come today either so that was a little dissapointing, maybe they might be here tomorrow or at least I'm hoping so. Not much on tonight so I might watch a pay-per-view, not really in the mood for going to bed early anyway. Oh, and it's CHILLY and definitely feels like November, tonight is suppose to be down to 50' and tomorrow night even lower - so I just turned the heat on but it'll be quite a while before it needs to kick on ....... I just hope that it works when I need it. Lots I want to do outside tomorrow, so I'm just hoping that I'm not stuck inside at a meeting for very long in the morning.

I hope that everyone has a great weekend, and I'll talk with you all again sometime very soon. Please let me know what's up - and hope that you are happy until then :) Smile, it really never did hurt anyone ...... and I can't wait until Election Day is over and these stupid commercials are off the air! Good night.
