A Day (or Two) in the Life of Scott Hanno

Tuesday here - busy but an ok day, time just flies by when you're having fun!!! Getting ready for our 400 Ray of Hope ladies to arrive on Thursday that we all have to deliver bags for all afternoon, then work Saturday morning loading them back up ...... at least it should be some good exercise :) But today we had the precon for it and forecast meeting that lasted close to 2 hours, gotta say I can find a better way to spend my time. I'm ready and it doesn't even bother me ...... just "DO IT", right :?)
And I spoke to my car dealer again and guess that I really postponed things, and the back cover should be installed and painted tomorrow and she gtd delivery sometime before next Thursday ...... I didn't think that it was going to add 10 days on to things just for that but guess that it's just as well - I get what I want and I won't have a car payment for another month, so all is well there too. I found a picture of a sports ute like mine, just imagine mine with white and silver trim - get rid of the Firestone Wranglers and replace the tires with some fat Goodyears and it's pretty much what mine is gonna look like - at least I think it's going to :) If you want - click here and let your imagination go to work for you ....... like it has for me all ready! Other than that I'm just counting the days - and tomorrow is all ready HUMP Day again!!!
That's it for another day - talk to ya'll LATER!!! (I've lived in this town too long if I'm thinking ya'll when I mean you all!!!) Nite :)

It was a nice, uneventful Monday ....... let's just hope that the rest of the week goes that well :) And I got to work this morning and found my Nextel phone on my desk, was kind of hoping that they would have forgotten that they were going to get me one but guess that I couldn't be that lucky - and the sucky part about it is that it's not even a cell-phone, they want $30/month extra for that. So they expect you to carry this thing around in case someone from work wants to get a hold of you, but other than that it's pretty useless, so if I want cell service I can carry my cell phone and my Nextel ..... go figure.
I also got a call from my Ford Sales Person Maria today, wasn't going to call her first and didn't, but then she called me asking me if I wanted to take delivery of my Sports Trac tomorrow - shocked the heck out of me that she had moved along that fast. But then I decided that I really wanted the tonneau (?) cover over the bed in the back so she's working on having that installed and guess that they have to paint it to match the truck, so it'll be at least a few more days - might even be next week before it's here. I guess that the cover that they sell out of the factory comes in two parts, and Maria had talked to someone else that bought a Sporttrac and they said it leaked - but Ford also offers a one piece cover on hinges that locks down tight so I decided to go with that instead. I think that it'll be worth it in the long run, plus it's really what I really want too, so what the heck - we only live once right :?) I was also worried about the Love Bugs getting all over the truck on the drive up, so she threw in a bug screen that normally goes for a couple of hundred bucks just to make me happy ...... I don't think that she'll ever stop offering whatever it takes to make me happy :>) So, only a few more days - and I can wait but the closer I get, the more excitement I'm feeling!
Nothing else really went on today, finished up a bunch of catch up stuff and didn't even have to handle one guest complaint and there aren't too many days that go by where I don't have to do that. I even met a lady in the lobby this morning who wanted to thank me for taking care of her reservation and guess that she and her kids had a great time this weekend - and had a gift to give me which turned out to be a bottle of cologne that I don't think that I could ever wear. Still not sure how someone can buy a gift like that for someone that they've never met - but we all know that it's the thought that counts and I really did appreciate it ..... right before I gave it to one of my girls to take home to give to her husband - it was just one of those kind of days!
And I hope that they continue, the week is early so we shall see - but I'd like them to all go like today. LATER Gator - and don't eat all of the mashed potaters!!!

Saturday night again and I accomplished pretty much everything that I set out to do today. The lawn is mowed and detailed and looks great once again ...... although it was up in the high 80's and feels just about like summer all ready. Sweated my butt off and got some good sun, even used sunscreen today which I never do, and didn't even end up getting fried. I also took out the speakers out of my Explorer this evening in preparation for returning it as I bought good ones a while back, and will probably end up putting them in the Sports Trac once I get it. I'm also thinking about putting in the amp and EQ that I once had in my F150 a while back, had to look around for it and found it ...... and I remember it cranked! But I'll have to see if I can get a car audio place to install it, don't have any directions and just remember ripping it out of my truck in the parking lot of the dealership when I turning it in a while ago.
I've also decided that I shouldn't really hurry getting my new vehicle all that much as my next payment isn't due until May 19th and they are paying that one (and the next one). So, as long as I get my new one sometime near then, the longer the time it'll be before I have to make another car payment. So, if it's not next week that'll be fine, or the week after that but I just know that it'll be coming in the next couple of weeks. I didn't even call my sales person today (or yesterday), as I'm sure that she'll call me when she has something to tell me.
I got an e-mail from one of my friends in CA tonight that his pup isn't doing real good, was thinking of sending him a note back telling him that I'm here for him, but I'm not sure that it's enough to make him feel any better. I guess that Sammy is loosing his sight but is too old to operate, plus has a few other things going on with him that's going to make his life hard to live. I do feel for Jason, and for Sammy as I can just imagine what I'd be going through when and if Montie goes through that ....... his bad knees and operations were hard enough. I'm not sure what's gonna happen with me if something ever happens to him ....... don't think that I could handle another puppy chewing up the place, plus I've got him trained to be the perfect boy (he follows my routine better than I do). Jason - just know that I feel for you and what you are going through, hang in there and I know that Sammy appreciates everything that you do for him. Montie also say "Whoof, get better Dude", well, something like that just came out of his mouth.
Other than that I found out on Friday right before I left that they decided to offer the Convention Services Manager to an internal canidate so I guess that Gail (from Williamsburg) is out ...... I haven't called her yet to tell her but I need to before she hears it from someone else (and hope that she doesn't read about it here!). I think that she got into the game way to late for her to have a chance, otherwise I think that she would have been perfect for the position. Well, that's about all that I can think of so I'm going to close - maybe I'll try to write more tomorrow evening.

Well, it's another Thursday night and the weekend is almost upon us - just one more day of work and we're home free! And dang if this week didn't fly by, guess that it was because I was so busy that I didn't even notice. Today though was a nice day at work, all of the higher-ups were in an Owner's Meeting most of the day so I got alot of stuff caught up, but my Strategy Meeting got postponed until tomorrow and I don't like it being on my Friday. But I'm ready all ready so all I've got to do is show up, but it still takes close to a couple hours out of my day.
I'm also just about there on the new vehicle, have my ideal one all set and is a white with silver trim '02 4x4 Sports Trac, top of the line too and has all of the packages. I think that I'm really going to like it even though I haven't seen it yet, but has 4 doors and a cover over the bed, and the back seats fold down and will be perfect for Montie to spread out and move around. I even think that they will deliver it from Orlando at no extra charge - so if all goes well I should be driving it sometime next week. Quite the deal on it actually, $2000 rebate and another $1000 renewal bonus, plus $100 over invoice so I bet that I ended up saving close to $5 grand, good thing as there is no way that I would have been able to afford it otherwise, and got my payments right about where I want them. My credit app was all approved today, so all they have to do is get the vehicle to the dealership (found it somewhere else) and then get it to Panama City Beach for the big trade ...... should be quite the Big Day!
I also recieved a card from a friend tonight (she's very much into expressing her feelings through cards), and she included a few pictures from around her house that I scanned and put up on the web tonight. I did it more so that she could download them on her end if she wanted to save them - but if you want to check them out you can click here. She lives near Norfolk, VA and one of the pictures is from a snowstorm that they had in January - and I didn't even know that it snowed there (remind me that I don't want to live in VA :o).
Other than that I've been trying to get a girl hired here as a Convention Services Manager, worked with her in Orlando and she lives in Williamsburg, VA - and called me the other day from a job listing that we had on the web. The frustrating part is no one has alot of time to even deal with it so she's getting frustrated, but whatever comes of it I'm sure that it'll be the best. At least I've talked to her alot lately, she might even prefer to live in Jax, FL where her daughter is moving - I'm not sure any more.
I also met with the Hungarian guy from work last night about his idea to make a million $$$'s, still haven't had alot of time to do any research for him but he wants me as a partner ..... kind of flattering actually. Guess that I need to spend some time this weekend on that project, but as I've said it's been a busy week for sure. TGIF - ER is actually new tonight so I'm going to kick back and watch that, so I'll write more on another day :) Have a GREAT weekend - talk to you soon!!!

Tuesday night here and I'm getting real close to closing on a deal for my new Sports Trac, my sales person located the vehicle that I had in mind (after she called and said there was nothing like that out there, only to call me back 10 minutes later to say she found it!). I'm debating on the payments though over a 4x4 and a 4x2 ..... it's like 3k more for the 4x4 and isn't something that I really use but is nice to know that you have it just in case. And with my luck as soon as I bought the 4x2 I'd be transferred to somewhere where it snows 9 out of the 12 months, and I'd be stuck spinning my wheels for the next three years. And I've had both the 2 wheel and 4 wheel Explorer and the 4x4 just drives differently, and I really like it mucho better - so I guess that I just need to justify the extra $$$ in my head and knock the payments down a little and it'll be a done deal.
I even called the father of a friend of mine from my home town tonight to see how he liked his, as I don't really know anyone that drives one, and he also kind of convinced me to go with the 4x4 as he loves his - but he lives in upstate NY so I can see him wanting it - and I want it too ....... if you can't tell I've just about justified things ...... gotta get the payments down about another $30/month and I'll be making that drive to Orlando in the very near future. Oh, and the dealership also offered to buy out my last two payments on my current Sport, as a token of their appreciation ...... nice of them huh :?) More to follow later - and I hope that all is VERY well with you! Happy Hump Day once again, dang if I don't know where these weeks go - ya know :?)

Check out my link to the Shockwave Daily Puzzle thing ...... I must have spent close to an hour tonight putting one together and I was bound and determined to finish it ..... middle setting and I don't even rotate the pieces! Give it a try, it'll challenge your mind for a while (but not at work Pamela - only start it when you have 30 minutes to spend!). And it wasn't too bad a day today, still working on revising that Year End Forecast in preparation of our Owners Meeting on Thursday, I'm just thankful that I only have to prep for it and not actually attend it. My biggest frustration today was my HP 5L printer as I had a paper jam and pulled out a piece of paper but must have ripped the middle of a page, and no matter what I did I couldn't get it unjammed and I worked on it for a few hours. I finally found someone with a philips head screwdriver and took the thing apart, still didn't find any paper in it but after putting it back together it worked just fine the rest of the day. My struggle was that every time I printed a page, I had to walk over to Accounting to get it - not something that I'd want to get used to. And it's a good thing that I figured it out as it's my personal printer that I brought from home, and I know my MIS Dept wouldn't spend any money in fixing it, and the only help I got was an offer to use a ink-jet - and I HATE ink-jet printers.
I also answered the phone tonight, don't usually as it's always a telemarketer, but this time the telemarketer actually had something I actually was interested in. It was Ford Motor Credit telling me that my lease was up in June and wanted to know what I had planned for my next vehicle, then offered a $1000 credit if I renewed it on another Ford vehicle. The good part of it is that I all ready am working on getting another Explorer, so I can add that credit to the $2000 rebate they are all ready offering, plus my hopes of getting a wholesale price thru a dealer in Orlando and I might be able to work out a pretty sweet deal. I also had a business opportunity from a guy from work to help him with, and the more that I think about it the better I like the idea, right in the line of ideas I've had (no, not an ice cream stand or a pourable paint can!) so I'll have to see where that takes me ..... more to come later.
I was also going to tell you all last night that I actually barbacued shishkabobs for dinner last night on the grill, first time that I've used it in months and they were totally awesome, so mucho better than the baked potato and cesaer salad from Wendy's that Montie and I usually eat (but Monto was disappointed that he didn't get to go for a ride!). I'll have to fire up the grill more often now as it's so easy to do - and I LOVE steak, gotta be one of my favo foods! And I guess that's about it for another day - I'm ok with life tonight and think that it might just be an ok week ...... I'll let you know later on how it goes! Hope all is well with you, and I'll talk to you again sometime real soon :)

Saturday night in Panama City Beach and the weekend is all ready half over ...... but that's ok as I got most of my lawn care duties done and it's looking great! Summer must be right around the corner too as it was in the mid-80's and I sweated my butt off, won't be long now before it's 95' every day :( And I even got around to pressure washing my driveway and what took me five hours to do with my old machine took me like an hour, but it sure is a gas hog or it has a really small gas tank.
I called yesterday to check on the status of my electric pressure washer, and guess that I did in fact blow the engine and they are waiting to hear from the manufacturer if they are going to replace it for me (again), so I told them that I'd call again in a week to see if they have gotten any where. I'm now sure glad that I did invest in my super-duper model as who knows when I'll get the other one back and how long it'll last again, certainly isn't a heavy duty model for sure.
I'm not sure what tomorrow will hold but will probably clean the house and do laundry with a trip to Walmart grocery shopping in the afternoon. I was thinking about washing part of the front of my house but I doubt that I'll get around to it - but maybe :) It's been a nice weekend all-in-all I guess, not much out of the ordinary but is a nice recharge from last week at work. And at least next week should go alot smoother than the last one, at least the year end forecast is done for another month and I am pretty much caught up. Plus the hotel is pretty dead up until Friday of next week - we've got Rotary in this weekend and next which has taken up the entire hotel, but it kind of killed my stay throughs and have no group during the week.
Well, that's about it for another day, really could use a shower so I think that I may do that ...... then another hour and it'll be time for bed. So, till the next time - take care and God Bless :)

Well, the weekend is almost here, Thursday night and ER is on (but it's a repeat again :( But I'm starting to get into the swing of things at work again, took me the better part of a week to do it but things are looking up. I even came home tonight and washed my truck, it was a nice evening out and it's been weeks since I last did it. The weather has been great and is suppose to be for days, but Summer is def right around the corner as it's all ready in the mid-80's.
I did have this brilliant idea that this town needed a Dairy Queen after watching their commercial on tv, there isn't one any where around so I thought that it would be a great money-maker. But then I was bummed when I checked out their site and reviewed the requirements for a franchise - as they recommend start-up capital of $1.6 million ..... I was thinking more like $20,000!!! Just think how many ice cream sundaes you would have to sell just to break even - I think that I calculated it would take 48 years or something like that. Maybe a simple soft ice cream stand is the way to go, I haven't given up on my idea yet. And my other idea that I mentioned a few days ago - "the paint can that you can actually pour paint out of", I've got it figured out if they made a rubbermaid top with a spout that snapped on the can ...... that would work perfectly! Now I just need to find someone that does such a thing and I'll be in business (but they probably all ready have such a thing :(
Well, that's all for tonight - gonna be a lawn care kind of weekend again as it's growing like weeds but looks great! Talk to you the next time I talk to you - k?

Tuesday night here and I'm thinking I'd rather be on vacation full time, but guess that's not really an option ..... at least for the next 27 years or so, so I guess that I guess that I have to get used to going to work all day again. I cancelled my AT&T Worldnet ISP along with my AT&T long distance carrier tonight as they announced they were increasing their monthly charge from $7 to $14.95 a month - what are they CRAZY??? And they didn't even seem to care when I told them the reason was that they doubled their rates ....... I hope that every poor soul out there cancels along with me! And my AMEX card offered a e-mail address that "you'd never have to change", but they sent a note that at the end of April that would not longer exist (well, unless you want to pay $30 a year) ....... so much for promises from companies that you've come to trust.
I hope that tomorrow is a better day, at least that I have a better outlook on things so keep your fingers crossed. If nothing else, I'll only have a couple of more days and then it'll be the weekend - as short as they are.

Monday night here and the vacation is definitely over ....... I can't believe how dark it still is at 5:30am as today was the first day that I was up before dawn since the time changed a week ago. But we got up, had to poke and prod Montie to get him out of bed but at least he had a nice quiet day sleeping in the recliner all day to make up for it ....... he has a pretty darn good life! Today at work was pretty uneventful, hard to get back in the swing of things and it seemed kind of strange for some reason ...... maybe it was me, I dunno but I'm pretty much all caught up with all of my stuff.
I spoke to my bro (who lives in Syracuse) a little while ago, guess that the sale of my Mom's house is still a go and they should be closing on it towards the end of May, pretty darn quick once things got moving actually. And I think that once that is done it'll pretty much bring final closure to her death, but it's still going to be hard to not have the home I grew up in not to go home to ..... hasn't really hit me yet but I know that it's probably going to (especially when I go back home and see it).
That's about it though, all is well in the world tonight and tomororow is Tuesday all ready - it'll be the weekend before we know it!!!

Well, it's Sunday night and it's back to work in the early morning ...... vacation time is over and I'd have to say that it was a pretty productive week. I finished painting my fence yesterday, even detailed it and it was dark out before I was done. I'm happy to have it done before the week ended as that was the original reason for taking the week off, not that it was any easy project! I was almost feeling that finishing it wasn't in my cards, as I filled up my power roller with paint yesterday, went out and turned it on, only to have it not work any more. Just then it started to rain, so I thought that maybe the batteries were dead so I went to Walmart and bought new batteries and came home, but the dang thing still didn't work - not sure what happened to it. At least the weather cleared up so I had to dig out my old roller and paint pan, and finished the fence up the old fashioned way - I was bound and determined to get it done even if I had to use a paint brush!
And my white corner fence was a little too close to the corner and I didn't want to risk the County saying that I had to take it down, so I dug it up tonight and dug new post holes, and moved it about 2 feet off the road and took me an hour - but I'm much happier with the location and hope that it works where it is tonight. The house is cleaned again and the groceries are shopped, and I guess that I am ready to get back to life the way it normally is. It's been a good week though, feel like I accomplished alot and the place is looking GREAT. I enjoy taking a week off in the Spring to do the things that I'd like to do but don't have time to do it on a weekend, and think that I might just have to make a tradition of it - did it last year too so this was Year #02. The only thing that I didn't get to was pressure washing the front side of my house, but I figured that my 1/2 painted fence took priority over that as I can wash the house any weekend - so that was the only thing that I didn't get to check off my to-do list.
In review, I was able to accomplish the following:
Monday
* Went to Home Depot for my project supplies
* Installed a new mailbox
* Weeded and Mulched the rest of my front beds
Tuesday
* Scraped and prepped my garage door for painting
* Pressure Washed the south side of my house (in the pouring rain)
Wednesday
* Painted 3/4 of my fence
* Went to Home Depot (again)
Thursday
* Installed my corner fence
* Weeded and mulched the remaining planters
* Fungicided my lawn to get rid of my "brown patches"
Friday
* Painted and chaulked my Garage Door
* Went to Home Depot and bought a gas powered Pressure Washer
* Pressure Washed the back side of my house
Saturday
* Finished off painting the fence (thank you God!!!)
* Mowed and detailed the lawn (again)
Lord, that wore me out just thinking about the week in review, plus I kept up on all of my work at work so that I can walk in tomorrow and be all caught up ...... definitely a good week. Well, that's all for tonight so check back later for more info. Night!

I need to go back to work so that I'll stop spending $$$ ...... ended up taking my electric pressure washer in for repairs (if it can be) and found out that it'll be at least a week before I know if they can even fix it. I was pretty much fed up with that one so on my way home I went back to Home Depot and bought a SUPER duper gas powered unit, and it is SOOOO sweet :) I washed the back side of my house this afternoon/evening and also hope to do the front of the house tomorrow also. Got most things checked off of my to-do list as the week comes to a close, still have a few more hours left painting my fence but I've got to wait for better weather before I do that.
Tomorrow is once again lawn-detail and it sure could use a cut - nice and long after a week of rain. But it's back to the normal weekend schedule, and my days are numbered till I'm back at work again on Monday. So, all in all it was a very productive week, the place is looking great and I'm one tired puppy ...... oh, and so is my puppy Montie - he's certainly not used to all of this activity over the past week. Oh, and they finally came and finished my "moat-project" by covering up the drain with a grate, and it looks pretty nice next to my white picket fence. I don't think that they are going to say anything about it - at least I'm hoping not but would have figured if they were going to it would have been today ...... I like it more and more every day.
Well, till the next time - take care and take it easy, TGIF and hope you have a GREAT weekend :)

My question of the day ...... with all of the technological advances these days, why haven't they invented a paint can that you can actually pour paint out of? All day yesterday I was trying to refill my electric paint roller bucket, only to end up with a quart or two on the lawn. I think that the current can has been around for decades, maybe even centuries but I don't think it's the best that they can come up with. I'm sure that not that many people actually paint out of the can so I'm not sure why they haven't designed a better pour spout ....... hmm, maybe that'll be my next million dollar idea (now don't be stealing it, k :?) Otherwise, the vacation continues, and I really need to go back to work so that I can actually get some rest.
You can check out my Pics Page and take a look at my 3/4 painted fence, still not done yet but I wasn't up for it today after doing it all day yesterday - so maybe tomorrow. I did kill my pressure washer so the washing of the house is on hold, but did install my corner white picket fence that I'll have to take a picture of so you can tell me how it looks. It's funny, but everyone that I talked to while I was putting it up asked me "are they going to let you put that there?", so I'm not sure if the County will have issues with it or not, only time will tell if they complain about it. I think that it looks good though, at least it'll keep people from driving across the lawn. I also weeded and mulched all of my planters, so my to-do list is getting shorter. I had Raford, an Electricial from work stop over to try and do some wiring with a couple of new light switches/lights installed, but after digging around the attic it doesn't seem like it's going to happen - it is definitely harder than I though it was going to be :(
That's about all for now, I'm beat and ER is on, even though it's a repeat I'm going to kick back and do nothing now ...... so ta-ta till the next time :)

Rain, rain go away - come back next week when I'm not on vacation!!! It rained all day, poured at times but was more of a drizzle that wouldn't stop - kind of hard for me to accomplish any of my outdoor projects :( But I did get one side of my house pressure washed, did part this morning and then when the rain wouldn't stop I went out when it was sprinkling and finished it off ..... and didn't bother to stop when it was pouring on my non-stop. But what the heck, I was getting soaked from the hose so it didn't really matter if the rain also added to my wetness. One side down though - and three more to go before weeks end (that is, if I didn't kill my pressure washer as right when I was finishing up tonight the thing died and had no power left so I'm not too sure it'll ever work again).
Tomorrow is fence-painting day, my original reason for taking this week off and I'm hoping that the weather cooperates. The forecast calls for cloudy in the morning and them PM sun - so that works for me as long things are dry enough. That should take me all day I'm figuring, so I'll try and let you know how I did tomorrow night. Till then - have a GREAT hump!

Sorry that it's been a while since I last wrote anything, and it's all ready Monday night and I'm on vacation tonight! Mostly today was a running around kind of day getting ready to complete a bunch of small projects, and went to both Lowes and Home Depot before I found what I was looking for. And that reminds me, I was almost killed going across the street from Lowes to HD ...... the light turned green and I went, and right when I was in the middle of the intersection I heard tires squeal and I kept going, only to have a car like 2 seconds later come flying through the intersection behind me! Someone must have been looking out for me though - as if I had waited two seconds longer to go it would have been a major side-impact crash ...... one of those "life passing before your eyes" moments if you know what I mean :)
And today didn't turn out as productive as I had planned and I'm somewhat behind on my vacation planning schedule all ready, wanted to pressure-wash one side of the house each day but never got to that (yet). It was windy as heck so it wasn't quite the best weather for it so I hope that I can get it all done before the week is up. I had also planned on chaulking and painting the side door on my garage but I found out that that bottom of it is all rotted out and am probably going to have to have the entire door frame replaced. I know a carpenter from work who stopped over and looked at it, then he called someone else that sells them and he stopped over later, so I should know in a few days how long it'll take to get one in stock. Truthfully, I'd rather spend the cash now and fix it right than to try and piece it together only to have to do it later. I also installed a new mailbox that I'm really happy with, it's the same kind as the one that I had before but it's brown instead of white like the old one - and once I removed the old one I hadn't realized how nasty it was looking these days. At least that I learned that you don't own a white mailbox if you live next to a dirt road ....... words to live by, ok?
I did finish up weeding my front bushes and muched it all and have that looking great too - and sprayed bleach on my red bricks that I have set up as a border to get rid of the green mold that's been growing on them. It worked great and they look brand new, but I really felt bad for this little toad that was hanging out in one of the holes - think that it might have burned him as I've never seen a frog jump that much trying to get away. I suppose I could have been nice and caught it, and rinsed him off but I thought that trauma would be even worse that what I had all ready done to him.
Well, that's enough for another night - hoping to have a more of a productive day tomorrow .....but I'll be sure to let you know.
oh ..... still pondering my white fence to go on my corner, but thinking that I may actually go for it before I'm done but bought some stick in reflector things in the meantime ...... I just don't know how it'll look before I invest in that project.

Hey, hey the hump is over ..... and I'm counting the days till my vacation begins! Thanks for stopping by, things are going rather well although it's the same ole stuff, just a different day :) Business at the Marriott is good though, sold out Tuesday thru Saturday but not oversold enough where it should get ugly - just perfect for me. And we are making a ton of money in rate and I'm up almost 30k for the first 12 days of April, not a bad way to start out another busy month.
I talked to the guy who built my house and the same one that's building duplexes next to me and asked him if he minded if I painted my new fence next week, which of course he didn't and he shouldn't since it's on my property. I also talked to Darren our painter at work and asked about rolling the wood stain on instead of brushing, and he told that would work fine as long as I used a latex kind - and guess that they have come a long way in developing wood stain as I didn't even know that such a thing existed, but he recommended it for around these parts. So, now all I have to do is find my electric paint roller which has to be in the garage somewhere in a box, haven't used it since I lived in Pittsburgh in ''98 but know that I've still got it somewhere around here. I've looked before but haven't found it yet - but I know that it is still around here somewhere!
I'm also working on a new lease for a new Ford as mine is up in June and only have two more payments left, and I've pretty much decided that I'm going to go with the Sports Trak 4x4 and my GM is even hooking me up with a dealer in Orlando to get it wholesale ....... so I've begun the pricing process but haven't gotten very far yet. I guess that Ford has a $2500 cash back deal right now but not sure how long it'll last - so I might end up cashing out early on my current Explorer and move on up to something else, we shall see. And I haven't even driven a Sports Trak yet but this is my 3rd Explorer that I have now, so it's either that or another Sport, and think that I might really like a somewhat truck ...... need to see how it handles.
And still working on the webcam, can't figure it out still but e-mailed my hosting company but they won't answer me, so that's not a good sign either. I guess that's about all for another night, so look forward to hearing from me again real soon. Thanks for listening!
