Boy if the last three days haven't just been perfect, temps in the 70's during the day and 50's at night you can't ask for much better. And I took Friday off and had a three day weekend as I don't think that there are going to be too many of these great weather days left and you can also tell that the chill is getting close as well.

I spent my day off on Friday painting, I finally got around to painting my foundation around the outside of the house (you know, the brick stuff at the bottom of a house) as I have wanted to do that ever since I moved in and have never got around to it. I'm not sure why but on one side of the house they water sealed the wall at some point but only painted down so far which left about a foot of the black sealer which wasn't very attractive - and I had picked out the paint color back on my vacation in April but just needed to go and pick it up. Oh, and just a tip don't try and pick out a color of paint at Home Depot and then go to Lowes to find it as they aren't real helpful, but we matched a color that was very close to what I was looking for. So that took me about three hours in total, I also took the Jeep out and had a McFlurry too!

And yesterday I did the usual lawn stuff, the aerator guys came on Tuesday and tore up the lawn but hopefully that process will help the growing process in the long run. It's looking pretty good out front but my back yard definitely needs help. I also finished up painting one side of my new closet doors that I bought back in December and painted one door but never got around to the other and they've been sitting in my garage ever since. So I got them all done and installed although it's going to take some time getting used to them. Oh, and I'm sitting here watching a DVD last night and have the home theater cranking and my next door neighbor comes over at like 11pm to tell me that my bass is rocking his house. I can't believe that they would be able to hear it all the way across the lawns but guess that the bass does carry along pretty well.

Today I didn't do much at all other than the laundry, house cleaning and grocery shopping and not here I am getting ready to get back to work. Our corporate offices are moving from McLean to Fairfax at the end of the week which means all of our systems will be down for two days - I just hope that it doesn't drag on for any longer than that. I was also thinking that I might move my office over to the other hotel this weekend but where I'm moving to aren't quite ready but hopefully I'll get that done by the end of the week - might be a good week for it any ways.

I guess that's it for this fine day, I still need to finish up my kitchen painting project and want to redo my closet as well. But if nothing else that's a great rainy kind of weekend kind of project. Oh, and I found the Science channel and they've got all kind of cool shows with the answers to all of my questions.
